The basement waterproofing space looked very different in 2019, when Sier first invested. There was far less institutional attention and capital. But Sier spotted that ’58 Foundations was a great company that needed marketing and operational talent. Ultimately it was a home service business, and that meant continuing to build a sense of trust with customers – to allow ’58 in their homes – would be everything. Sier brought on a an entirely new management team, investing well ahead of the company’s growth and over investing on talent. Each key leader earned meaningful equity and together we put together a patient plan to grow very very fast.  This was an overnight success story that happened to take five years.
